October Provider Spotlight: Justin Baker, LMFT

As the season shifts and the natural world begins its profound transformation, our October provider spotlight turns to a clinician whose practice is deeply rooted in the art of personal change. We are delighted to introduce you to Justin Baker, LMFT, a therapist who believes in the equally magical and powerful process of healing. Drawing from a rich, holistic toolkit, Justin specializes in creating a sanctuary where highly sensitive individuals can reconnect with their inner wisdom and embark on a journey of self-reclamation.

Justin’s own path to becoming a therapist was forged through her early life experiences, where she discovered that non-traditional, holistic approaches could unlock a deep sense of empowerment. “I found non-traditional ways of healing made way for transformation in a way that felt powerful and equally magical,” Justin shares. “I became inspired to learn how to offer similar spaces for others to take healing into their own hands.” This personal understanding fuels her compassionate and intuitive approach, guiding clients back to the profound intelligence within themselves.

Read to learn more about how Justin integrates yoga, breathwork, and creative expression into her practice, her philosophy that “you can’t rush your healing,” and the beautiful mantra that guides her life and work.

What inspired you to become a Clinician?
I was inspired to become a clinical because of my own early life experiences. In my healing journey I found non-traditional ways of healing made way for transformation in a way that felt powerful and equally magical. I became inspired to learn how to offer similar spaces for others to take healing into their own hands.

What theoretical orientations or philosophies inform your practice?
I come from a holistic background and one of my main beliefs is that each person has a deep intelligence within themselves and my role is to help guide them back to that place. I love to integrate the body, spirit, meditation, art, movement and breathwork.

What is your professional passion (e.g., specific client populations, treatment modalities, or advocacy areas)?I love supporting highly sensitive women who are looking to reconnect with their body, their intuition and become clear in who they are beyond any traumas that they may have endured.

What’s one thing you wish more people understood about your work?
I wish more people understood that deep transformation and change are possible if you are willing to try new things, believe in yourself, and dedicate yourself to understanding your inner world and building a new relationship with your emotions.

How do you approach building trust with clients?
I approach building trust with clients by really listening to their body. We work at the pace your body and spirit are willing to go. As cheesy as it might sound, “you can’t rush your healing,” and this isn’t a race. Steady movement often creates the most space for change.

Do you have any certifications/trainings/specialties that you would like to share with clients?
I am a registered yoga teach, breathwork facilitator, and energy work practitioner as well.

What is a quote or mantra that guides you personally or professionally?
“May I see with eyes of beauty, speak with words of beauty and emanate beauty in all that I do.”

Outside of work, what brings you joy?
I get joy by being in nature, spending time with my dog, friends and family. I love being a life-long student so I am always studying or deepening my skills in various areas. I love to create — most recently I have been making pottery and learning how to cut stones for jewelry making. I like to sing and have been having fun with learning flute and guitar.

What is a book, podcast, or other resource that has influenced you and how?
There are so many books and inspirations but lately I have been loving The Emerald, a podcast which looks at myth and storytelling from a lens of animism.

Justin’s unique, holistic approach extends beyond individual therapy into powerful group experiences. If her philosophy resonates with you, consider joining one of her upcoming offerings designed to foster deep self-discovery through creative expression:
