“Say what you want to say, and let the words fall out, honestly, I want to see you be brave” – Sara Bareilles

Deciding to change is hard, requiring courage to look within, ability to acknowledge pain, and finding the strength to manage our mental burdens. Many clients have asked what the formula is to success in therapy, and I tell them it’s about making appointments, showing up, and participating. For those who are ready, change often comes in positive and unexpected ways.

My approach is client-centered—I believe you are the expert in your life, and I’m here to help you discover the strengths already within you. When mental health issues like depression, anxiety, and trauma are present, they seep into every part of life, and relationships, work, and health suffer. Seeking help can lighten the burden of past pain, improve daily functioning and relationships, making it manageable through learned coping tools and insight that lead to lasting positive change.

I began my career in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and have worked with a wide range of clients, including trauma survivors, LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities, immigrants, homeless women and families, and people from diverse cultures and economic backgrounds. Trained in trauma-informed care, I focus on understanding the root causes of mental health issues, shifting the perspective from “what’s wrong with you” to “what happened to you.” We are not defined by our struggles, but by how we choose to approach them.

I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy; instead, I integrate various modalities based on each client’s needs and the ongoing changes in their lives. I incorporate elements like music, and nature into treatment, believing they can create memorable and long-lasting healing experiences. Humor, too, plays a key role in my practice—finding lightness in the darkness is a powerful tool for healing and change.

I’m committed to equality, justice, equity, and inclusion. Everyone has the right to respectful, quality care, regardless of race, ethnicity, culture, gender, sexual orientation, or economic status. Your story and experiences are unique and worth sharing, and I believe in your ability to heal. So, come join me—give therapy a try, and you might find exactly what you’re looking for.
