Dr. Alexakos is a licensed psychologist with more than 15 years of experience working in community mental health. She completed clinical training at McLean Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and UMass Medical Center. Dr. Alexakos utilizes a person-person-centered approach and customizes a variety of psychological methods to help each individual with their mental health concerns. She approaches therapy with a resilience mindset and believes in the healing power of kindness, compassion, and equality when working with clients. She treats a variety of issues including: anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting, and ADHD. She sees clients across the lifespan, including children, teens, and adults. She also provides play therapy, an area of special clinical interest and expertise.
