Sergio Silva Jr. is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor who approaches therapy with warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s individual experience. For Sergio, the therapeutic process is one of the most deeply human experiences we can share, and he considers it an honor to sit alongside people as they reconnect with themselves and discover new ways of understanding their lives.

Curiosity is the engine of Sergio’s practice. He strives to be a co-student of each client’s life, paying close attention to their language, experiences, and what feels meaningful to them. At the center of his work is genuine human connection and the opportunity to feel truly seen and heard without judgment. Sergio also believes healing does not require recounting every painful detail of the past; it can unfold through exploration, creativity, play, connection, and curiosity.

Sessions may include conversation, art, music, photography, mindfulness, experiential exercises, or parts-oriented work informed by Internal Family Systems. When appropriate, clients may also choose to step outside and spend part of a session walking through the surrounding natural setting.

Above all, Sergio invites clients to have agency in creating a therapeutic experience that works for them. Therapy can be deep and vulnerable, but it can also hold laughter, creativity, lightness, and genuine human connection. Sometimes, it may not feel much like “therapy” at all.
