I look forward to the opportunity to join you on your journey of personal wellbeing. Life presents obstacles to our growth, and nobody has a totally smooth road. I prefer focusing on the path leading self-healing. I believe how we navigate life’s roadway is the experience defining us, not what has stood in the way. How we heal as individuals is the nature of our story. Building upon strengths helps to get back on track and stay there. Overall, I seek to encourage strengths that nurture self-compassion, foster personal growth, promote mindfulness, cultivate rewarding relationships, and maintain balance.
We oftentimes face personal or relational roadblocks that fuel anxiety such as Fight or Flight responses or feeling detached from yourself. Additional specializations include support to manage excessive energy that’s difficult to direct positively or seeking to overcome the lies of depression such as feeling disempowered, worrying that opportunities for change are unavailable, or being gone could somehow relieve others. Furthermore, I may assist with challenging threatening thoughts or perceptions that only you may experience, being distracted by intrusive thoughts, explore ways to respectfully tolerate grief and loss, remaining mindful of ourselves and how we relate to the world around us, feeling limited by medical conditions, as well as struggling to maintain your cultural, ethnic, or sexual identity without being untrue to yourself.
Psychological tools to keep on our path may emphasize a practical, structured, and flexible goal-oriented approach such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Additional tools such as meditation and focused breathing may help empower the body, mind and spirit to focus on transformation. Furthermore, working together by taking an existential or mindfulness approach may help to live authentically, find meaning, and develop awareness in connection to those around us. Overall, these tools can be applied to the ways in which we perceive our environment, set expectations for ourselves and others, allocate time and energy, shape our perspectives, improve cognitive processes, slow spiraling thoughts, and manage strong emotions effectively.

Specialization

Adults and elderly who are experiencing stress, depression, rapid mood changes, psychosis, intrusive thoughts, legal concerns, grief, disability, while managing personal goals for yourself and in connection to others using CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and existential techniques.
